Jasmine Mas - Blood of Hercules

Alexis Hert is neither a hero nor a god. Her life has taught her how to survive, remain unnoticed and depend on herself. That changes when a blood test connects her to a powerful heritage and forces her to enter the Spartan War Academy.

At the academy, immortality is not freely given—even to those with divine blood. It must be earned through violent trials, gladiatorial training and constant competition. The classrooms resemble battlegrounds, while the celebrated heroes of legend prove far more ruthless than their stories suggest.

Alexis is trained by Achilles and Patro, two demanding gladiators determined to turn her into a warrior. She also attracts the attention of Augustus and Kharon, the brooding heirs to the underworld. Their presence complicates an already dangerous struggle in which attraction, rivalry and hidden intentions are difficult to separate.

As prophecies begin to shape her future, Alexis must uncover the truth about her identity and decide what she is willing to become. More than one monster is hunting her, and some of the greatest threats may be hiding behind the faces of gods and heroes.

Blending Greek mythology with a post-apocalyptic setting, dark romance, a war academy and morally ambiguous characters, Blood of Hercules is intended for readers who enjoy unconventional mythological retellings, dangerous love interests and a heroine fighting to control her own fate.
